Recruitment season! As we train new editors, we cannot accept submissions right now.
We're focused on recruiting the next set of talented volunteers for the upcoming admissions cycle. Come back this summer when we're back in season!
You may only submit an essay that is your own original work. We will refuse service if we discover plagiarism in your writing.
We only edit essays intended for application to undergraduate universities, scholarships, summer programs, or internships.
You may submit a maximum of three distinct essays for us to review. If you plan on sending us multiple essays, please submit them one at a time.
We only review complete drafts and make recommendations for improvement, but we never write or make extensive additions to an essay.
We only accept essays that are between 300 and 800 words long. If you are above the limit, please cut it down as much as possible before submitting it.
When you paste your essay into the field, make sure the paragraphs have not merged. If you wish, you may enclose each paragraph in [brackets].
By pressing "Submit Essay", you certify that your submission fully complies with the six policies outlined in the "Before You Submit..." section at the top of the page. If we find that it does not, we may refuse service.
Please make sure to pass along your gratitude to the volunteer editor who dedicated their time to reviewing your writing. Their name and email will be included in the note when completed edits are returned to you.
We ask that you do not submit multiple versions or drafts of the same essay. Also, please do not re-submit an essay for a second review after the editing team has already provided feedback.
